What about Venice? A magic, romantic, unique and spectacular city at any time of the year.

Venice

Few kilometres from Lignano, easily accessible by train from Latisana or bus, tourists who spend their holidays at the sea have the opportunity to spend a day visiting the city on the water.

Described by Napoleon as "the most beautiful drawing room in Europe", Venice stands on many islands and islets connected by a lot of bridges that lead visitors from an alley ("calle") to another one and from a square ("campo") to another one.
The visit must start from Piazza San Marco.
The drawing room of Europe par excellence is the heart of the city, surrounded by elegant buildings with cafés and shops, with the imposing Basilica of San Marco, the Campanile and the magnificent Palazzo Ducale.

Count all palaces, museums and corners of Venice would be a massive effort, but in a traditional day trip tourists can not miss the visit to the Rialto Bridge on the Grand Canal, to the Fenice Theatre, to the Bridge of Sighs and to the Ghetto of Venice.

In addition to the city, tourists can visit also its 3 major islands:
Murano the most famous for its artistic glass,
Burano, known for its lace and the colourful houses,
Torcello, the smallest and with 20 inhabitants, but with a priceless archaeological heritage.

Nedless to describe Venice and its artistic beauties, its typical houses, the wonderful views... you have to visit it and get lost in its narrow streets.
